The world wide super star kpop band EXO was honored with Commemorative medals by the Korean government on April 18, 2018, in recognition to their contribution to the global spread of Hallyu wave.

Following that, KOMSCO announced the medals for sale in limited quantities in two versions - the special version and the regular version.

The special version is limited. A round silver medal, weighs - 31.1 grams, diameter - 40 mm, purity - 99.9%. The regular version is also a round silver medal weighs - 15.55 grams, diameter -28 mm, purity - 99.9%.

There were only 5,000 medals and 100 sets available for sale. The cost is 165,000 won (i.e $154) per member medal. For all 9 members the cost is 1,485,000 won (i.e $1385). Even though the cost is pretty high, EXOLs did not hesitated to show their purchasing power.

The total sales is 1.6 Billion Won.

Within an hour after announcing for sale, KOMSCO announced that the medals are sold out, which is a bit of surprise.. well not really.. This is EXO and EXOL we are talking about - The world leading Kpop band and the most powerful fandom. 6 years since debut and EXO still remains at the top of the game. Even after facing so many hurdles and hardships, the fandom has never let EXO down.

Of course EXO is the Nation's pick, and EXOLs pick as well.
